SMS Personalisation
Personalisation is available within your SMS content using any of the standard Enudge Contact fields, which includes 15 custom fields which you can use for any purpose.
Enterprise account (dedicated server) users can personalise SMS messages using the Programmatic Content feature.
Rent a dedicated sending number
If you would like to send SMS from a dedicated Australian mobile number, so that your contacts are more likely to know that the messages are from your organisation, please talk to us about renting a dedicated mobile number.
Send SMS to New Zealand
If required, we can apply for short codes to be used to send SMS to NZ mobile numbers. There are specific rules about sending marketing and transactional messages. Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for new SMS codes to be provisioned. Additional monthly costs apply for rental of SMS short codes.
Cost
The length of a standard SMS message is 160 characters. The first part of your SMS must include the unsubscribe facility, and so the available length is reduced to 136 characters. The cost of your SMS message is calculated based on the length of the message:
≤ 136 characters = 1 SMS credit
> 136 and ≤ 272 characters = 2 SMS credits
> 272 and ≤ 408 characters = 3 credits and so on…
