Importing Contacts from Salesforce and setting up 2-way Integration

From the Import Contacts screen in Enudge, choose Salesforce.  A Salesforce login will pop-up on screen, requiring your Salesforce username and password, and a security token.

To obtain a security token, go to view your profile by clicking on your avatar or the default profile image, and choosing 'Settings': 

In the My Personal Information navigation, click on 'Security Token' or 'Reset My Security Token', depending on whether you have done this before:

Click on 'Reset My Security Token' and then check your email for the token to paste into the Enudge Salesforce login panel.

Then check your email to obtain the security token.

After successfully logging in to your Salesforce account from within Enudge, you can select contacts by Account or by List View.

Account

If you choose an Account from the accounts listed, the screen will display the contacts you have stored against that account.

List View

When using the List View, by default Salesforce will provide the "Name" field as a combination of first name and surname. Enudge will attempt to split the contents of the Name field into the Enudge 'firstname' and 'surname' fields. However, for better results, we recommend that you modify your List View to include the individual first name and surname fields instead. You can do this in Salesforce as follows:

Please note when you select a List View of Accounts, Enudge will also attempt to split Account Name into firstname and surname fields. Thus, we always recommend you to import Contacts and Leads only.

Once you have selected the required view of your contacts, you can then select one, several or all contacts, and choose to import them into Enudge.

After choosing to import, you can create a new category to add your contacts to, or type in the name of a pre-existing category.

Maximum of 4,000 contacts

Please note: Salesforce's API limits the number of contacts you can import from a View or Account to a maximum of 4,000.  If you have more than 4,000 contacts you will need to export to a CSV file and import your contacts using the Enudge CSV import feature instead.

Setting up 2-way integration

Once you have imported your contacts from Salesforce, we recommend that you choose the Enudge 'Initial Integration Config' in order to see a list of contacts who have previously unsubscribed via your Enudge emails, or whose email address have bounced.  You can then choose, or not, to update Salesforce with this information.
